The Norwegian photographer Kristine Nyborg, who now lives in Canada, was a photojournalist when life quickly slowed her down professionally. The search for her own identity, for what is important to her and what really matters to her, was the result of what she herself experienced as an extreme situation. Life processes like this do not leave their mark on one's own art. Today, Kristine still tells stories with her photos, no longer as a photojournalist, but as an artist. She is also a documentary family photographer and offers workshops.
“Quietly Loud” is the name of the Workshops on identity which she offers together with fellow photographer Felicia Chang.
Kristine has several photo projects, some of which she has been working on for several years. One project that particularly fascinates us is the photographic narrative about Sigrid Ekran, the woman who raced the Iditarod in Alaska, the most challenging dog sled race in the world, at the age of 26, which has been running for over 10 years. The land of Alaska has crossed Kristine's life on many different paths and has a great significance for her.
